Newsletter "Wait, we only have 12 more weeks of school???" -Stevenson 3rd grader Yes, it's hard for us to believe too. Spring vacation has crept up, and it will almost be the middle of March when we get back. We so enjoy this time that we get to spend with your children. The only problem is in how quickly it flies by. This week, we watched nearly 100 students and faculty model outfits made entirely from junk in the annual Junk to Funk show. Check out our photo gallery to catch some of the action as well as the head emcee, Mrs. Russell. In math, we continue to explore the new areas of multiplication and division. We see the kids becoming sharper each week with the material. Still engrossed in our Roald Dahl unit, students have created a character map for a main character in the book they are reading. Be sure to check them out--they worked hard to incorporate outward and inward traits. History projects continue to roll in, and all we have to say is WOW. Your children clearly put their own image into their projects, and we look forward to celebrating their efforts and Black History Month. Have a wonderful vacation--see you in March for the final stretch! John and Nina | Memory Joggers -Mrs. Phillips and Mr. Collett will both be traveling this break. While Mr. Collett will occasionally check his e-mail, Mrs. Phillips will not be able to. Any pressing concerns, please relay to Mr. Collett. Thanks! -Your child will be bringing home AT LEAST 2 (maybe more) books from our class library to read over vacation. Please help your child take good care of these novels, especially if you are traveling. | Calendar Free Dress--2/21 Spring Break: February 21-March 9 |
